While this project was conceived...

Honestly, I can't tell you what this'll become, other than a sanity outlet. I've got ideas, but I'm not fully in charge here.

The Backstory

Eight year old me looked at the biographies of Beethoven, Poe and some other greats and saw in Beethoven's story a particularly clear formula for greatness; "Oh! So you;

decide what you want to do with your life as early as possible, as early as you're blessed to know, then
do it. Do it with a singular focus and
only stop when you die.
1+1+1=GIANT OF LITERATURE! I CAN DO THAT!

And hell, Beethoven started around the age of eight, and I KNEW there was some reason his biography had fallen into my eight year old hands within months of deciding I wanted to spend the rest of my life writing. Basic arithmetic, right?

You think it’s a straight line...

Well Actually, Kid...

I’ll spare us the biographical touchpoints turned philosophical musings turned therapy fodder — filtered, of course, through Jungian frameworks. Let’s just say: this qualifies as Shadow Work.

That poor kid's been barely placated, often ignored or sometimes even locked out in the cold for many of the 45 years between then and now. He didn't deserve that.

And he’s pretty talented, I’ve realized — the driving force behind our love of poetic form, photography, woodworking, the alchemy commonly known as cooking, and a few other lifelong obsessions. He’s also, as it turns out, incredibly tenacious.

For the present day, 53 year old me wants a software company (and will have it), but I think me, the young'n and maybe some of you gentle readers will be better off for the collaboration. All that said, I hope you enjoy this first installment in what I hope will be a long and enjoyable series.
